Monica McCarthy Earns Advanced Wealth Management Certification — Certified Private Wealth Advisor®
Monica McCarthy, CFA®, CDFA™, CPWA®, President and Chief Investment Officer at Seascape Capital Management, LLC recently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification, which is the only advanced credential designed for wealth managers who advise high-net-worth clients.
Per the Investment Management Consultants Association, this advanced credential was created specifically for wealth managers who work with high-net-worth individuals, focusing on the life cycle of wealth, accumulation, preservation, and distribution. Earning this certificate furthers Monica’s knowledge and ability in identifying and analyzing the unique challenges high-net-worth individuals face and how to develop specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth.
To earn certification, CPWA professionals must meet a five-year experience requirement, successfully complete coursework in advanced wealth management strategies, and pass a comprehensive examination covering 11 core topics, including applied behavioral finance, charitable giving, estate planning, and wealth transfer. Cross Roads House 14th Annual Benefit by the Sea sets Fundraising Record and honors Jim McCarthy
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - On Saturday, May 7, 2016 Cross Roads House hosted its 14th Annual Benefit by the Sea gala, held at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle, NH. The event raised a record-breaking $320,000! Three quarters of the funding for Cross Roads House comes from private donations and contributions, and the annual gala is a vital part of securing the necessary funds to continue providing shelter and life changing services for the homeless in our community. Seascape is proud to be a longtime sponsor of Cross Roads House.
This year's event also included a special tribute to Board Member and Seascape Capital founder Jim McCarthy, who passed away in October 2015.
