A Day of Service at Gather

Laurie Barrett |

The Seascape team recently spent a rewarding day volunteering at Gather — a day filled with teamwork, laughter, and a meaningful reminder of the impact local organizations have on our community.

We spent time in Gather’s food rescue and distribution center, helping sort and cull donated fruits and vegetables so that as much fresh, healthy produce as possible could be shared with families in need. We also joined the food pantry floor, stocking shelves, welcoming guests, and helping them select groceries for their households.

One of the things that makes Gather special is the dignity and choice it offers visitors. Rather than handing out pre-packed bags, guests can choose what best fits their needs whether that’s fresh produce, pantry staples, or items for their families.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand and for the incredible work Gather does every day.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, volunteering with Gather is a wonderful place to start. Whether you’re sorting donations, stocking shelves, or helping guests in the pantry, every hour makes a real difference.
